Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

The Bruins are looking to be battling for a wild card spot right now. It’s between them, Pittsburgh, Detroit and Columbus. Out of those teams, I think Boston is the most likely to make it at the end of the day. Like last year, they are doing well in terms of goals against, but it’s the offense that needs some work. I think the Bruins will be buyers at TDL, but they shouldn’t make too many big trades. This year might be their last chance to contend for a while, and if they miss the playoffs, they need to start retooling right away so they can try to avoid a full rebuild. Feel free to give feedback on this.

As for the goalie situation, Tuukka Rask looks like he is aiming for a return to Boston soon, which will result in three goalies. Ullmark has a NMC and Swayman is part of their future, so I don’t see either of them getting traded at TDL, but if Rask is staying for a few more years they should try to trade Ullmark at the offseason to somewhere he wants to play for some assets.

We all know DeBrusk will be getting traded, most likely well before the deadline. I’ve seen quite a few trades around suggesting Appleton to Boston, and this deal could work out as a one for one for both sides.

Bruins have needed goal scoring and a centre for a while, and I still think Hertl would be a great fit for them. The Sharks should trade him since they can get a very solid return. I think a quality roster player, a high prospect and a 1st would be great for them.

Conditional 2023 2nd: if the Bruins miss the playoffs, the pick will not transfer.

I don’t know how much longer Rask will play once he returns. For some reason I suspect that he retires after this season if the Bruins go on a run. If not, try to move Ullmark at the draft for the highest pick you can possibly get for him.
