90% of Leaf trade proposals lately involve one or both of Amirov or Robertson, guess it makes a bit of sense as 90% of fans never consider tomorrow let alone next year, or the year after.

But I can't be the only that is looking forward to these 3 being either on ELCs or bridge deals (Robertson, Amirov, Knies) over the next few years while Leafs are in their contending window.

A future LW group of those three plus Bunting sounds pretty good to me.

I know yall think highly of your players. But consider this, Hawks decline for sure. You aren't getting Hagel for that. I don't care that Amirov was 15th overall 2 years ago.

Hagel is a driving force on this team, wont be trading him unless the offer is ridiculous. Tacking on Ritchie doesnt exactly help the value here either.

playing in the top 6 and being a top 6 player are two very different things. Ritchie has played in the top 6 this year, do you want him for your top 6? The leafs arnt gonna give up amirov for a guy who is currently a 3rd liner on a team with decent depth because he might maybe could be a 2nd liner some day.

I don't think you understand what kind of player Hagel actually is. Amirov, at this point, is a "maybe an NHLer some day" kind of player. If the 2020 draft were done again today, he probably would end up being a 3rd round pick or later.

I know very well the type of player Hagel is, he's a decent young 3rd liner type who is getting a tone of ice time with guys like Kane and Toews this year and Kubalik and DeBrinecat last year.
He's also rocking a near 20% shooting percentage this year, which is in no way shape or form sustainable
And Amirov is, as of this point, a blue chip prospect and if the draft was re-done he'd go more or less where he was taken.

Ritchie is because you have no one better to put there besides Micheal Bunting

In the case of Hagel we have several players who can play in his role but he just plays best their

So, I already had a pretty good list going of notable players from the last few drafts. But I just took some time to go through that list again and single out all of the players that were drafted in 2020, then I got rid of all the players that were already drafted ahead of him because most of those were pretty correct in being drafted before Amirov. Then I sorted them by stats and watched whatever highlights I could find along with my knowledge from already having watched a bunch of games in all the different hockey leagues this year.

Honestly I thought I was exaggerating quite a bit with my comment about re-doing that draft, just trying to get a rise out of you. But knowing what we know now about all the players from that draft, I found 38 kids I would've picked before him. That isn't to say that he doesn't have the tools to eventually develop into a solid NHLer. But 38 kids that are acclimating to pro level play faster, more skilled at this point in their careers, and are physically more ready for the NHL, all that were drafted AFTER Amirov.

I wouldn't take this just for Hagel alone. He is almost in the same category as Dach and the Cat when it comes to trade status. Yes that means he is close to untouchable and would require a substantial overpay to get him away. This is not it.
