OK holloway is edmontons best forward prospect, but this is edmonton playoff pushing.
The Oilers have six pending UFAs and seven pending RFAs on their current NHL roster. Of those players, Puljujarvi, Yamamoto, and McLeod are certain to receive new contracts. With the exception of Koskinen, the rest are depth players that may, or may not be with the Oilers in October 2022. Its difficult to predict what will happen with Koskinen, given his performance this season. Regardless, Edmonton is not going to have a lot of cap space next year, and will probably look to re-sign or re-tool its cast of support players.
When summer 2023 arrives, Milan Lucic and Andrej Sekera come of Edmonton's books, as do contracts with Duncan Keith, Slater Koekkoek, Devin Shore, Oscar Klefbom, and Mike Smith. Evan Bouchard and Stuart Skinner will require new contracts, and there should still be plenty of cap space available after Holland takes care of those two.
The salary cap is suspended during playoffs, and the Oilers may have a number of waiver exempt players on their roster next season. For these reasons, I think Edmonton is not all in this year, but will be next year.
