Just a few thoughts:

-I'd say you're off on Toffoli...he should return something like the JT Miller package (1st+3rd). Similar numbers, similar contracts.
-Byron is a dump.
-F*******ck that's a lot of retention on Petry.
-I'm won't be convinced that Chiarot returns a 1st until it actually happens. There has been one 1st round pick moved for a pending UFA LD since 2015 (Keith Yandle). Maybe this is the year, but with guys like Lindholm, Giordano, etc. likely becoming available, the market will shrink quickly.
-That Armia contract is almost as bad as the Byron one...Bergevin was like Benning...overpay and give term to depth players.

To be fair, I don't know that Calgary is the exact team for it, given the guys signing that they'll need to do in the offseason, but yes, if I was a contending team with some space, I think I'd be comfortable paying that.

I think most of this is spot on.

For $3M retained Petry better return at least a 1st. Toffoli is a nice 2nd line player on a decent contract but he is almost 30 not really a play driver to expect a 1st + is awfully optimistic.

You’re crazy. Miller has basically been a 1.0/PG player the last 3 years, and can play center. Toffoli is 0.71ppg player that can’t play center. Sure his contract adds some value but you are talking about a projected 24pt difference and a guy that can play center. Not even remotely close.
