Take Monahan instead of Lucic. And you aren't getting a top prospect even if you are taking Lucic

It a first round pick - which would be the asking price - Lucic for two years.... when you have a lot of player to resign.

I would normally take Monahan... but we are rebuilding and he would hurt our chances to tank.

Then we would trade Monahan else where. Go checkout my Rant I amde yesterday about Lucic. Basically it says he has more value by playing for us then trading him ever would. Also you could easily flip Monahan for even more assets

Oilers are not giving two 2nd round picks for Chiarot.

Flames arent paying a 1st to move Lucic lol. Let alone a top 50 prospect

Last night Edmonton dressed their 7/8 d-man, a guy who has alternated between 1RD and 3RD all season, and 4 rookies with a total of less than 75 games of NHL experience; if Holland was prepared to overpay for Chiarot he would have done so already.



Why have more people not taken the Flames seriously this season? I'm an Oiler fan, but that doesn't shade my eyes from the obvious. Calgary is a contender this year, and despite his shortcomings Lucic is part of the reason for their success to this point. No way they should pay anyone in order to move him. his salary cap hit is not hurting them right now.
