Regarding the @Canucks: There was a rumor making the rounds last week that John Chayka was going to take over hockey ops when his NHL suspension ends on Dec. 31. Looked into it, didn't seem like that's where this is headed. But maybe something to file away.

-Lars’s line schemes are much like a Bethesda game: when one problem is fixed, another one pops up. Jack was back into the lineup, but Yegor was missing. Also, Justin Danforth was in the lineup on the 3rd line on the right wing (WHERE YEGOR COULD HAVE BEEN). What does Lars see in Danforth that I don’t?

-For the first time in what feels like forever, we score first. Adam Boqvist with a good shot that whizzed right past Adin Hill.

-All three of the Ohio-born players on the team (Kuraly, Roslovic and Sillinger) all scored goals tonight. It’s entirely possible for all of them to be on the same line. I wouldn’t mind it (as much as I hate the idea of separating that 4th line).

-The Sharks put up one hell of a fight until the end. I was scared we were gonna blow a 5-3 lead after Tomas Hertl scored that goal. Maybe it’s just in my blood to be paranoid like that.

-Elvis had 30 saves on the night. Good work by the King.

-Jakub Voracek now has 18 assists on the year. We really shouldn’t have traded him for J*ff C*rter.
