I like Horvat, but he's not worth that much.

Horvat is very valuable to Vancouver, don't underestimate what it will take to pry him from the Canucks, especially with how much interest there will be around the league for him

Secondly, Colin White is so overrated, and I'm not even a Sens fan

Swap Brannstrom for Mete and make the 2nd rounder Tampa Bays. I could live with that.

The addition of Connor Brown to the package going to Vancouver is a red flag for me.

First off, this isn't the Sens trying to, "pry him from the Canucks", it's someones idea of what VAN will do if they don't, "win at least 8-10 0f their next games before January 1st". So this is an offer to the Sens, not by the Sens.

Secondly, so you being not a fan of the Sens supports you thinking White is overrated? if you're not a fan of the Sens, then of course you are more likely to think their players are overrated. This was a very strange comment.

Connor Brown gets a better pick than the 2023 VAN 2nd alone, and adding all the other assets just because White is overpaid by maybe $1MM is silly.

What happens when Horvat asks for $7MM-$8MM in a year and a half? If you think White is overpaid, wait until Horvat's next contract.

The Sens are fine with Norris, Pinto, White at centre. They also have centres Greig and Ostapchuk, who are both playing 1C for their respective teams, in the system.

Quantity for quality won’t cut it for Bo. A 1st and a RD prospect are part of the deal or what’s the point. Brannstrom and White?? Cmon!! Brown is a nice player, but again it serves no purpose. Lots of fluff, but it’s just fluff!!

I take your point, but if we are trying to be realistic, Ottawa is going to be one of the last teams Vancouver goes out of their way to offer Horvat, so I think there needs to be at least a 1st rounder coming back Vancouver's way. I'm not saying that I hate Colin White as a player, I'm just saying that I see him as more of a cap dump for the Sens and less of an asset with significant value, that's all

A lot of people feel that way about Colin White, but they are wrong. White has trended to being able to score 20+ goals a season. Trended as in, he's already been at 16 and 18 goals per 82 games, and he's still just 24. At 20+ goals and 50 points, his contract is fine.

I agree that Ottawa shouldn't be a primary consideration for Horvat, because Ottawa doesn't really need Horvat, with Norris, Stützle, Pinto, White, and Paul, as well as Gaudette.

Edit: Horvat will bring a good return, just probably not from Ottawa

That's a fair way to put it, I respect that, although as for Colin White, I'd still say the sun is setting on him being able to visibly demonstrate consistent value for his contract
