So much wrong with this. From value of players to general use of retention and not even putting the team in the right direction to rebuild.

We can't afford Petry, and even if we did, we wouldn't give up that package. If I'm not mistaken, he has been HORRIBLE this year...

Montreal can keep price. Even 50% retention which doesn’t happen on term contracts isn’t even close to being worth that package.

It's nice to dream! Minnesota has zero interest in Jeff petry whose horrible thus year, horrible contract also. Wild don't need wingers, bottom line wingers. Minnesota will keep Ryan o'Rourke, and their 1st round pick. Minnesota blocks your number

On top of what everyone is saying above, teams cam only have 3 retained salaries on the books at one time.

You'd have to add Suzuki, Caufield and Toffoli to the Edmonton offer just to get Holland to answer the phone.

What a privilege it is to be a chronically overrated NHL goalie... you can play janky for years then have one hot stretch and everyone thinks you're ace

Martin Jones almost destroyed the sharks franchise singlehandedly for years but after 4 good games this year half the site signed to 3M$ multi term deals

Quick made a career almost solely out of 2012

People treat the years when MAF is bad as if they don't exist and like a god when he's good... but he's been avg half a decade (cushy team boosts)

Y'all can see where I'm going with this and price is probably the worst example of this with his horrible xGSAA and wasn't even that good in their cup run

He was 4th in sv% amongst playoff goalies

His cumulative GSAA was just 3.7 🤷‍♂️

Chiarot retained + Jordan H is the

Wait for it

Price for Price (taking on his contract)

So EDM gives up a prime Eichel type return...

For nothing 😳 😳 😳

Caps aren't touching Byron. Bad contract to take on right now, isn't at all useable in DC other than as a scratch/AHLer, and I don't think anyone is going to pay that much for him.

For once, a Habs fan isn't trying to dump Byron on Ottawa for a pick

The new Byron contract will be Armia by the way, same AAV 3.4 and 3 years left. Enjoy!

What a ridiculous take on Price.
