You can get more by having Chairot and Lehkonen in separate trades. If experts can be trusted Chairot is getting 1st for the Habs and if Lehkonen keeps playing like this he easily gets a 2nd. Which is more then what you're getting here.

Also would wait till the off season when Drouin has a year left, eat half his salary and trade him for a first and prospect

IMO the guy who doesn't fit right now is Dvorak, he does not seem to want to be in Montreal. He has never came out and said it or anything but his effort and play have been half-hearted most nights. I say Keep Allen send Toffoli to Calgary for Monahan or another team for a similar center then ship out Dvorak for picks/prospects to a team in need of a 2/3C

I agree about Dvorak, I don’t think he wants to be in Montreal. He seems like a guy that can play but don’t wanna play. Shows flashes of skill but I don’t think it’s gonna work for the Habs with him

I think he wants to be in the states and closer to home, which let's be honest right now with all that is going on in the world is understandable.

Wonder if the Bruins would consider Dvorak for DeBrusk + if we got Monahan or another similar center? I don't think we need to tear it down and rebuild but we definitely need a few upgrades and a decent draft this year would go a long way

Just to build off of what @generallandro said, there's a bunch of factors that *likely* played into his offensive struggles. His role was comletely changed around by Eakins, who only had him starting 40ish% of his shifts in the O-zone through the first 10 games. He was actually reasonably effective as a "defensive" forward, but obviously the points weren't there. There were a couple of reports that the hand injury was actually lingering for a while which could have effected his play as well (19 shots in 13 games?!?!?!).

Obviously these are excuses, but there's really (REALLY!) no reason to move him. Only way I'd probably consider moving him is as a part of a package for a major, long term upgrade, which doesn't seem like something that's available right now.
