Plus what would his numbers look like if he were on PP1 45-50pts. I think Sakic could be talked into moving Girard but it is going to have to border on an over pay, it’s not like COL would hate a top 4 of Makar Byram Toews Girard for the next 3 years.

This. If Girard is moved, and that's a huge if, it'll be for a Kadri replacement this summer since odds are he'll walk for a more lucrative deal. While Vrana is a solid pick-up, he won't solve the hole at 2C once Kadri leaves.

Depending on how Newhook continues to develop and what the decide to do with Kadri, Girard could be bait for a long-term 2C of similar age and contract. Although it’s not often that a team is willing to part with a center like that, so who knows if that even becomes a possibility.
