Description
Pretty sure Roy sells for multiple reasons but i think most of all he wants to give the Coach and the young players a chance to prove their part of the Solution.

I think when Roy comes in these are the untouchable's
-Suzuki
-Caufield
-Dvorak(just the right age to fit in the new core)
-Toffoli(need reliable goal scorers for middle 6)
-Hoffman(need reliable PP producers)
-Eddy(you dont trade an Edmundston with his size and skill)
-Petry(People need to lay off this man who went from #3 in minutes to #1 with no back up overnight)
-Romanov
-Price(by Proxy he has a 100% full NMC with a buy out proof Signing Bonus dominate Contract)

I think these people are safe this year might be gone by next TDL
-Armia(Ylonen's being held down either him or Anderson has to go as Ylonens finally clicking on small ice)
-Drouin(could stay if he'll re-sign for less but doubtful)
-Gallagher(next time he heats up and there's interest i bet Roy sells)
-Byron(as his contract is about to expire)
-Poehling(has a year but Roy has a history of using 4th Center Veterans for Bulk faceoffs)
-Niku(could stay but depends on if he can step up even more )
-Allen(100% gone soon he's played really well but when Price is back i think its Primeaus time as Roy doesnt usually use Veteran Goalies to back up Vetern Goalies it screws youth the chance to learn from a Mentor of substance)

Ithink these guys are gone at this years TDL:
-Lehkonen
-Chiarot
-Wideman
-Kulak
-Montembault

I think these players are on the outside looking in and need to carve out a clear cut spot:

-Anderson(half his goals are Empty net he's very inconsistent offensively but solid everywhere else)
-Evans(got to find a way to put up points even a Defensive 3rd line forward he's doing better with 4 goals in 19 games but just 6 points. Close to being there but will have a lot to prove to Roy)
-Norlinder(playing good but Harris is done NCAA soon and his games taken huge steps defensive making him a complete 200ft player and Ghule who almost beat out Romanov for top 4 this year)
-Pezzetta (brings alot of elements MTL is short on and has a nack for creating offense but he's not the 200ft player in the NHL he was in the AHL and has to prove he can be.)

I think Your Forward Core is lead by Suzuki/Dvorak
I think your D core leaders are Petry/Eddy
I also think Price/Primeau should be the Duo Roy pushes having Price help Primeau make the jump to full time Tandem goalie for the next few years.

That Core gives MTL a good foundation and room to cycle in youth prosects from the draft.
I think Roy adds a bit more Sand Paper to ensure there's less blowouts so even if MTL is losing while their youth gain experience that there atleast good competitive games Fans enjoy.

  1. Faksa, Radek
Détails additionnels:
DAL is set for Centers to the point they have one of the NHL's most consistent 4th line Centers capable of winning 60% faceoffs playing wing.

The logic here is to bring in a more productive player for 950k less moving him to 3rd line with Seguin and Glendenning back to 4th line.
DAL
  1. Lehkonen, Artturi
  2. Choix de 5e ronde en 2022 (MTL)
Détails additionnels:
Logic here is MTL gets a 4th line center with size who can handle bulk faceoffs winning 52-55% of Faceoffs allowing Suzuki/Dvorak more time taking Offensive Zone faceoffs

MTL is paying for the Term here
They've locked up a solid 4th line leader like Bellmare was for Roy back in the day

The Molson Family probably want Jeff Gorton as GM.

And to hire someone who can speak French as a figurehead, a GM in name only and someone to talk the media on behalf of Gorton .

If Hoffman, Petry, Edmundson, and Romanov are untouchables, he should be fired before he even starts.

Jeff Gorton certainly made some horrid signings with the Rangers....look at the buyouts they have, Just don't know if he is the guy.

Don't know why Habsfans are so enamoured with Patrick Roy. It's not 1993. Has he a resume that shows he NHL material?

he was a train wreck of an executive with the Avs, he was the VP of Hockey Ops and in his first year he acted as partial GM for them before sakic fully took over. He was pretty bad in those roles.

EDM declines. Holland has literally said hes not moving out a 1st for a rental. It doesn't matter what some insider says compared to the GM himself.
