Yeah sure for culture I could see it but Xavier is arguably just a good a prospect as Krebs (who you got for Eichel).. I never woulda picked Xavier over Wallstedt if I was EDM but the guy is looking legit; like very good and making the selection not as bad (imo).. idk I wouldn’t value Tuch much if I was a rebuilding team to improve on the Eichel return; it would make the return much better and possibly a much better chance at having a successful future.

I'm not saying he's a bad prospect, just Alex Tuch not the player we should be trading, culture is too important at this stage, and he is also a decent player.

You are correct that this makes the Eichel trade Two firsts, two former first round center prospects and a second for Jack and a third, a huge haul.
Tuch grew up rooting for the Sabres, while I would never insinuate that he ever played less than his best for Vegas, I think he will elevate his game when he dons the Sabre Jersey.
Observing how well the prospects are performing in the AHL, leads me to believe management is expecting a turn around soon, a time line that favors keeping Tuch.

I understand why Buffalo wouldn't want to trade Tuch, but that's a massive overpay for him. No from both teams.

I don't think it's wise to move Petrov at this point, he's tracking ahead of Bourgault (!!!!) right now. Found money.

I'm not convinced either of Leddy or Kessel will move the needle much either. I guess we'll know more at the deadline.
