Description
1- The trades are already explain briefly
2- Contract could differ (Ex:Lehkonen, I went worse case scenario & I took Brock McGinn as a comparable / Subban should take less but just in case I went again worse case scenario, fans would love Subban back)
3- Carey Price isn’t traded because no teams are welling to trade positive assets for him. Price mentor Primeau
4- MTL aren’t rushing young players anymore, everyone in the CHL stays there & everyone in the NCAA outside Harris stays as well. Mysak Guhle Norlinder Suzuki Foote Ylönen RHP Teasdale Fairbrother Hillis Brook D’Orio will all play for the Laval Rocket.

Interesting tidbit: Gallagher was Ty Smith's housemate last couple summers.

I'd take him for 2-3 years...but 6 more might be tough.

I don't think the Canes give up on Suzuki for two years of TT.

    Sorry.

Go back 2 years and Ducks offer Rakell with 1.8 retention for Nick Suzuki, Armia, 2nd. Think it’s a good deal?

Pens decline. Zucker is better than Drouin. And the Allen upgrade at backup isn’t enough to sway the pens. Nor do they have the cap space anyway.

    http://naturalstattrick.com/playercompare.php?fromseason=20212022&thruseason=20212022&stype=2&sit=ev&score=all&stdoi=oi&rate=n&p1=8477494&p2=8475722&loc=B&gpfilt=none&fd=&td=&tgp=410&lines=single

Just to give you an idea of how much better Zucker is than Drouin. Not to mention Zucker is way better in the locker room and of a teammate.

Nick Suzuki and Ryan Suzuki were always in different tiers. Ryan's projections have him top as a middle six guy. So a B prospect + a 2nd for a proven top six forward with term at just over $2M is not an overpayment at all. The Habs have no need for Jesper Fast either and can take a lesser player to balance the cap.

At one point Nick was not seen as a #1 either. But i agree Nick is > Ryan. Poehling prob a better comparison but he is looking like a spare part as opposed to an asset at this point so…

Nick always had first line upside, especially at the time of the draft. It became questionable during the WJCs, but it was always there. Ryan on the other hand never had that upside. His projections have him as a good 3rd line guy, like a Radek Faksa kind of guy. This is a good trade for the Hurricanes value-wise but I understand if they're confident in their already stacked forward group and want to add elsewhere instead.

    Here's Corey Pronman's latest report:

    6. Ryan Suzuki, C, Chicago-AHL

    May 28, 2001 | six-foot | 176 pounds

    Drafted: No. 28 in 2019

Tier: Projected middle of the lineup player

    Skating: Average
    Puck Skills: Average
    Hockey Sense: Average
    Compete: Average

Suzuki held his own versus men this season as a teenager and played a semi-important role for Canada at the world juniors. He’s a talented offensive player, showing great skill and playmaking frequently. He can run a power play and hit seams at a high rate. Suzuki isn’t as dynamic a playmaker as his brother Nick in Montreal, but he’s a better skater. He can generate clean entries with his speed and skill in the NHL. Some scouts think he’s soft, but I’ve never had issues with his compete, and whichever coach he plays for he often ends up on the penalty kill. I think he can be a middle-six forward, if he stays down the middle he would likely be a 3C.

And many analysts said it looked like his ceiling was going to be a 2 after his rookie year. Mostly over reaction but that’s the norm these days, patience is no longer a thing.

With how well Fast is playing and how not so good Toffoli is playing, yes it is an overpayment. Plus, if you really want to reunite the Suzuki brothers you are going to have to pay up. Plus, since Suzuki plays center, you will have that center fee towards the Habs as well. I like the basis of the trade, but this trade just won’t happen unless more comes from the Habs.

I think the Pens trade is good value wise. I don't see them trading for drouin. TT is the player that the pens want.

Once again the Habs have no need for Fast so whether or not he is included doesn't change anything. It can be Stepan or whoever you want to balance the cap. The Fast/Toffoli comparison is also silly. Fast plays on a high-scoring team so obviously his number will be inflated in comparison to Toffoli on a very low-scoring team. In such cases where production contexts are completely different, relative-to-teammates numbers come into play, and they indicate that Toffoli is outperforming Fast in his respective team.

And tell me when in history your "brother fees" have been a thing?
