most of the defensman i aquired are average height for an nhl player, also being undersized doesnt mean anything or contribute to anything. Most undersized players are more physical in puck battles than larger players. If you think height is an effective way to judge players or their play styles you probably should learn more about the modern nhl.
5’10” is not the average height for an NHL defenseman.
And yes, having 3 defenseman like that would affect the team. They would want to play the same role, but there’s only so much to go around. And then who plays PK? Because neither Hughes nor Girard really do (Addison too green to know). And if you look at teams that have actually wind cups recently, they typically have a much taller/bigger group of defenseman.
I’m not saying these guys can’t succeed in the NHL at their size, but you should try to ice a more well-rounded blue line as opposed to 3 of the same player at different skill levels.
