sweeney do something about the team or about cassidy

Description
Cassidy might need to be fired i feel as he is too soft he doesn't punish the player enough for making mistakes, they happen to frequent which makes me believe he doesn't get strict on them about fixing those bad habits. those who think cassidy is an amazing coach obviously you don't realize the position he was in when bumped up to HC, cassidy was given a stanley cup contending team he was given arguably the best line in hockey at the time along with a good defence filled with vet leader chara, one of the most productive offensive dmen in the league krug and 2 promising young dmen in mcavoy and carlo add on a vezina goalie in rask and great depth with krech, debrusk at his best and many more it was pretty hard for cassidy to fail considering the team he had. These problems also fall on sweeney as well though as he needs to be more aggressive with acquiring players to fill our wholes, ill give him credit though he did his absolute best in the offseason to give the core (Bergy, Marchy, Pasta, mcavoy, krech, carlo) a surrounding cast he built a good 3rd line and got krech hall and smith arguably the best wingers he has ever had. Krech retiring was a real kick in the face in angers me a little knowing that he couldn't give the B's 1 more year as they reall tried to build a solid playoff squad I will never forget what krech did for us but I did lose a bit of respect for him as he isn't the only players that also would like to see their family more often all we needed was 1 more year out of him

so i am gonna give it an effort to try and fix the holes on this B's team

for horvat i can't see B's moving lysell and definitely not carlo. Horvat will most likely be a trade to acquire futures canucks won't be competing this season so the best thing for them to do is tank. not saying they sell low but it think a potential 2c plus 2 high rd draft picks and a depth dman is more then fair value if horvat ends up costing to much id say a solid 2nd option is ryan strome

now defence..... wow our defence is bad outside of mcavoy and whoever he is pair with it gets a little shaky, our defence makes so many bonehead mistakes that need to be fixed whether that is due to how cassidy wants the d to operate or if it just simply comes down to our players something needs to be fixed
if we get horvat we won't have the assets to acquire a LHD 1 so id say look for mcnabb or manson neither should cost to much

i see reilly and zboril rotating quite frequently even maybe grzz to sometimes it is pretty hard to bench reilly but zboril has looked great recently and has arguably been our 2nd best dman as of lately

Détails additionnels:
sounds like a lot of teams have been calling in on horvat rumour is miller and horvat aren't getting a long well and them team is divided that being said it seems as miller is a little over dramatic and that's not what B's need so i think bruins should target the proven leader. I'm sure what he wants would align well with marchy, bergy, pasta, mcavoys goals and hopefully he can translate some success here in boston

value:
B - B+ tier prospect + bottom pair RHD+1st+2nd , with horvat gone im sure stud would be given the chance to play 3c
cliffy would be a good add for your RHD3 good contract for 2 years
then extra draft capital i think firsts values are underrated in ACGM's late or not you gotta remember that kids who go first round are elite they were most likely always the best by far on their teams until maybe CHL/USNDP/College level

Brendon Dillon went for a pair of 2nds. You are not getting McNabb for a 3rd.

They can dump Haula too. God he’s been terible.

Unless you're trading Carlo you don't have the assets to trade for Horvat. Also calling Studnicka a B+ prospect is a stretch

dillion was a massive overpay and everyone knows that winnipeg got desperate, also vegas is in a terrible cap situation once eichel is back they will need to clear 2 of mcnabb, smith, dadonov most likely and i feel they will get a positive return for mcnabb where they could end up paying to have dadonov taken because his cap and having an extra season left

It really wasn’t. At the time i was hoping Boston would offer Urho and 3rd for him.

Their cap situation is irrelevant when it comes to McNabb, he would be a valuable asset to any playoff bound team. They will get full value for him. Which is at minimum a 2nd.

that is ridiculous though a gm doesn't just settle and be like nope not moving him unless you trade carlo. their is negotiations for a reason and quite frankly horvat is good but he is a 2C not a 1c miller and petey are both better then him. i understand he's your captain and a fan favourite but considering all the drama involved with him and the canucks doesn't seem like any of that will play affect on his value. I put hall and horvat on the same level and if i was offered this trade for hall and B's were in canucks spot i would accept this

okay so then how about vaak+ 3rd for mcnabb. vaak is more cap friendly could potentially slot 3rd pair for them

If the Canucks put Horvat on the market there would be 10+ teams interested unless you trade Carlo you don't have the assets to make a worth while offer. Hall and Horvat are definitely not on the same level either.

you overrate horvat then lol a 2c doesn't bring a higher return. i literally seen multiple other fans from multiple different team's say horvats value is
B - B+ tier prospect, 1st, 2nd or 3rd
stud is at lowest B tier and i gave a 1st, 2nd and nhl dman.
also how could you not say hall and horvat aren't close to same value look at halls production compared to horvat's pretty similiar hall also has an underrated defensive game
even with halls awful tenure in buffalo he has still out performed horvat offensively by a decent amount from 2018-19 to 2021-22 hall has been on a .79 ppg average and horvat a .72 and then defensively horvat aint no selke guy so im sure if there is a difference it is marginal. hall possess a lot more elite skills on the offensive end aswell he is a top 25 skater in the league has very good hands and also has a good snap and wrist shot when hall is on his game he is one of the most dangerous wingers in the league still because his speed but again you don't see me overrating his value i would be good with a B tier prospect and some high draft capital and a dman

Your take on Krejci is so narrow-minded. You think his retirement was a kick in the face and you lost respect for him just because you couldn't wring one more year out of him. Shame on you. He gave his all to the Bruin team and the city of Boston for 15 years and he did it with excellence and humility. Now he wants to do the same thing for his family in his homeland on his terms. Good for him. He has my upmost respect.

okay if we had a whole offseason warning it would not have been so bad, but the whole week before krech retires all these articles come out saying bruins and krech are close to finalizing a deal and then out of the blue he just up and leaves if you were a B's fan you would be disappointed to especially considering the struggles B's are having scoring
