Well, maybe I'm crazy, but as a Kings guy, I make that trade in a heartbeat. Sergachev fits Rob Blake's parameters to a T: young (under 26) high-quality LD who can be signed long-term. Sergachev-Anderson-Bjornfot-Clague on the left and Roy and Walker on the right as Doughty ages out and Clarke comes up is the foundation for serious contention. And the fact that the pick is in 2023 instead of 2022 isn't lost on me.

I wouldn’t think so especially with the term remaining, Tampa hasn’t had a good prospect or 1st round pick since 2017. Yes I know it got them 2 cups but look at Pittsburgh right now after they keep telling themselves to build for next year, they have no prospects in the system and might be forced to rebuild so I think trading Sergy is the best move

Figure this trade only happens after the seasons over as no way Tampa gives up for the chance at 3 in a row so I made the pick 2023 as I figure the trade would be done at or after the draft

Well, how about the guy (whose opinion I have heretofore held in high regard*) who said "no way the Kings do this"?

*which is why I didn't quote him directly

Really? I value turcotte as an A Teir prospect currently and figured the kings have so many centers they’d be ok moving one of them. And also who knows where any team in the pacific places nexte year that first round pick could be top 15.

Giving up a 23 year old top pair caliber defenseman on a team whose back end is a major reason their back to back Cup Champs. That also drafts and develops forwards like a factory.

I understand that he was a big reason we won b2b you’ve replied to me with that many times but who would you wanna lose next year when Sergy killorn cernak and cirelli are due for new paydays. Turcotte is still a RFA and won’t be able to ask for much when he’s due for a new contract as he hasn’t played in the nhl yet.

I'd rather either Killorn or (which I think he takes a big discount) or Cirelli before Sergy. Besides I think I'm the next year or 2 McDonagh goes Seabrook

I think Mac has a lot left in the tank I’d say he calls in in maybe 3 years

I’d look to get maybe some RD help like Roy or Grans+Turcotte, but either the ‘22 1st or maybe ‘23 1st would be interesting. Sergachev may reach top pairing caliber, but he still needs to both be more consistent and take another step. If Tampa has to move on from one of the 3 main rfas, Serg is the logical choice. If Tampa could get Roy+Turcotte, the d Corp is more balanced for several more years, or if Grans+Turcotte they’d get an RD that could be ready for some time by next year. In any case, having C depth of Point-Cirelli-Turcotte-Colton is quite good, and if Killorn stays in this scenario then the top 6 just needs to replace Palat most likely. Joseph may be that guy, or perhaps another young F. Alternatively, with Finley probably coming up in 2 years, Tampa could try and look for a W replacement in the top 6 for Sergachev. L.A. also has some good options there as well.
