I’ll tell why I’d justify these moves. Jared McCann is a player that’ll help improve the power play and putting the puck in the net a lot more often. The Canucks need another player on the penalty kill and Brandon Tanev is a guy with a lot of hustle. As for Rathbone and Klimovich we already have a load of players come up from the prospect pool to the team and already got some good young players. Riley Sheahan just adds to the 4th line depth. In return for the 1st round pick is Dermott who is a very serviceable dman, 2nd round pick, and a 4th. The idea is to help compete now and push for the playoffs and not go through another potential rebuild. I believe McCann and Tanev can help provide that boost to push for the playoffs.

There are things I agree with him on but like a lot of other Canucks fans he seems disgruntled with the team which is understandable. But when you look at the current Canucks team they literally have so many holes in they’re game that can be fixed. The problem to me it seems that the motivation hasn’t been there at all except from JT Miller and a few other players who have been hungry for wins. Sometimes things just don’t translate well on ice but it’s a real pain but overtime something will give for this team to be successful. The Canucks to me are just the kind of team right now that doesn’t strike me as being terrible for too long. There’s too many good players on the team that won’t be terrible all year. There’s 62 games left still and that’s a lot of games to be able to turn things around.

Well they sbould turn things arpund withput being buyers first then because veing buyers right now is probably the most moronic thing they could do
