Not even close for Nylander

Not even close for Josi, especially at that much retention

So where's the compensation for NSH retaining half of Josi's contract for 7 seasons?

I get this isn't serious but there are problems with every single move made here and ultimately we are over the cap at the end anyhow.

That Nylander trade is very unrealistic even though you've retained 50% on Wheeler. A 2nd round pick in 2024? I'm sure they'd think about that long and hard....

Preds just extend a guy and give him a NMC and then you ask them to retain salary for 8 years on a guy they just signed that would never waive his NMC anyhow.

For the Beaulieu thing I get you just picked the Flames to be the team to claim him off waivers but did you maybe mean the Oilers? Anyhow, the point is that you waive Beaulieu and he is claimed... I'm not sure that he would be.

Then you sign Dubnyk who for the last 2 seasons has put up less than a .900 save percentage and is 35 years old. Comrie has been good. In fact way better than expected as he's rocking a .920 save percentage over 5 games this year and is 3 - 2 so getting another goalie isn't an issue at this point. I want my backup to win 60% if the games he starts and Comrie is doing that. With a bit more goal support this team is one of the top in the league. The goals will come. I'm not worried.

I wouldn’t do that for just josi. Josi isn’t declining any time soon and will be a top defenseman in the league for years. I don’t value morrissey that high so a top prospect that’s unknown and a low first doesn’t get you josi. If you don’t think an offer would get hedman it’s not gonna get josi.

The Jets don't need fixing. Don't fall for the Twitter hyperbole. The team has been over 50% xG in every game during this losing streak. They shooting % is low. This is the equivalent of the Leafs trading Marner when he was in his slump earlier this year. The Jets shooting will regress to the mean and the team will start winning.

Special teams needs a fix but that's a systems fix not a personnel one. And the Jets definitely don't need another goalie, you haven't watch Comrie this year if you think that

It's a bad trade for both sides. No way Nashville does this and the retention is laughable, but at the same time the Jets have traded alot of picks in recent years and so need to keep guys like Perfetti to navigate the cap crunch by having guys on ELCs. This whole AGM is a mess

Thank you for some level headedness and sensibility about the Jets current slump. People are losing their mind over a team that has controlled the flow of play every game they've lost.

Pointless trades that don't address any issues for Winnipeg and Toronto has no incentive or cap space for the Nylander deal.
