Not with Rossi in the mix, and I'm a Canucks fan

Given that Minnesota is the one who called Vancouver inquiring about J.T, in my mind any offer would have to start and end with Dumba and Rossi/Boldy

If Rossi or Boldy were the asking price, I can see why the inquiry didn't lead to anything concrete.

Dumba is untouchable.
In what world do you think jt is worth eichel's value?

Well you can ask and dream, but it's not realistic and won't happen

Rossi, Boldy, Addison and (probably) Beckman are off the table. Their entry level contracts are just as valuable as their on-ice potential for the Wild. Without these ELDs, there is no way the Wild are remotely completive for the next few years. They might part with a C prospect like Khovanov but there is no way they give up Rossi.

I don't see Dumba moving. That "A" is still pretty fresh on his sweater. Seems like the team wants to keep him around. Plus, if VAN is rebuilding, they don't want a 28 year-old defenseman.

The scenario that makes sense to me is Miller for Fiala + Greenway. Then some mid tier picks and prospects from both sides to level everything out.

The one thing I know for sure is that given what Buf got for both Hall and Eichel, I’m not sure using them for a comparison of what it is that other people could get seems fair

Well no matter what you think the fact teams specifically didn't give much for eichel means t g ey aren't giving more, or same for jt Miller. Market determines value

You would have to believe that one of those four are available especially if Minnesota is the one who’s calling about Miller.

I also don’t think the Vancouver would consider a rebuild, they need to do more of a retool a lot like what Edmonton did. They need to add a top 4 RHD and fix the damn PK, not sure that warrants a rebuild.

The Wild have been trying to trade Dumba since Guerin was hired

I'm not sure they've been trying to move him since Guerin was hired.... They just gave him an A... Doesn't seem like you'd do that if you're actively looking to move the guy.

And, respectfully, no.... You don't have to believe one of them is on the table. Fiala + Greenway + mid-tier picks / prospects would be more than fair for Miller. That said, if I had to pick one of them that "might move", it would be Beckman....

I just don't see the Wild dealing the players they will rely on for both talent AND cap room for a player they will lose precisely when they need the guys they traded. Now, if JT had 4 more years @ 5M, things would be different. But he doesn't. So it isn't. Just my $0,02
