Why not? He already has most of the tools he needs to become a top 9 forward. He may end up capping out at Rasmussen's level, but even if he does he should still be able to take a regular NHL shift as long as he pans out. There's no way you can say he'll never become a regular NHLer. As a 6th rounder, he still needs more development before he makes the league, but he definitely has a better chance at making it than the vast majority of late-round picks.

His only NHL tool is his height.

Have you even watched him play? His height is one of his least important tools, considering the only way he uses it is to play keep-away with the puck (it would help if he was a little more physical, but I digress). His puck skills are his best tool, he’s got filthy mitts and he’s not afraid to use them to get goals. He’s producing very well as a 20-year old in the SHL, and in fact, he just got two goals in a game he played earlier today. His coaches love his game, and while him being 6’8 is a perk, it’s not the entire package.

I'll give you 2-to-1 odds on any bet over €1 million that he plays at least 100 NHL deals. Name any bank and lawyer in Geneva to handle the details.

Every time a prospect has a good week or a good season people go nuts (see above for the Wallinder comment)...he's just not very good, and most of these dudes won't make the NHL.

I mean, I'd consider Lindstrom to be breaking into NHL regular status, and he's only played 43 games. Zadina is a player I'd definitely consider to be an NHL regular and he just reached his 100th game a couple weeks ago. Maybe if the number was increased to 150 or 200 it'd be easier to confidently categorize the player as an "NHL regular" but the threshold isn't too far off IMO.

What? If he plays only 100 games in his career, that isn't an NHL regular. Obviously Lindstrom and Zadina are on different paths....
