Agree to disagree on this one. I would not be a fan of adding Kane at all. I’m all for trading Ritchie but even with 50% retention the leafs would still be caped out with a 21 man roster. I’d don’t see the fit and I hope Dubas and co don’t either

Will Evander Kane actually play in the AHL? What happens if he tears it up? Will he be recalled? Not sure what the gameplay is, but Doug Wilson is gonna have a really tough issue on his hands. If he's not planning on bringing him back to the Sharks, shouldn't he just buy out his contract? What a mess.

The Cuda expect him to play; and his agent and him aren’t tryna to start more ****. He’s expected to try and play ASAP.
His agent said he will report to the Cuda if he clears. And their still is the expectation that his first NHL game will be with a new team.

Hes expected to play on either Dec. 4th or Dec. 7th in the AHL.

Currently Doug Wilson has stepped down due to medical issues and is replaced by AGM Will (Wilson probably is still on important issues but he currently isn’t handling day to day duties).

I think at 3.5mill someone will take a chance. As we have seen with DeAngelo sometimes taking a chance on guys like that can work out. Kane on the ice is a 20 goal scorer who can be on the top PP or PK units for his new team. The problems come with his off-ice shenanigans with gambling and family matters.

His situation is something to keep an eye on thats for sure as sometimes the risks may be worth it

Of course not. The only difference is their ability to speak to the media well, and those media interviews don’t benefit anyone other than the reporters being paid to be there. Make the decision that is best for your organization, not due to outside pressure. A large part of the media and fanbase is garbage anyways so it’s ridiculous to cater to them.

I don't but the most of the market does, i mean Quebec's premier literally talked to Bettman about getting the Nordiques back and getting more french players in the NHL, no idea why they care so much but i think it makes some sense due to it being a french city and most of the media is french

I care and Molson has to care. Canadiens are much more than a hockey team, it has roots deeply in Quebec culture and it's what gives Canadiens a unique history. Molson knows that his team is also more than a hockey team : it is a brand in itself so the image of the team (or the "brand") is important to him from a financial POV. The Mailloux saga must have hurt him in this sense.

And at this moment, the best GM in the league must be Brisebois. Out of 8 millions Quebecois, you'll find great hockey minds, and it could very well be the ""best"", implying someone can be qualified as the ""best"" available.

In short, we could very well be a team like others but I think every fan would like an owner that keeps its team identity. To add on this, I'm really into bringing more Quebecois in the organization, so I like how the organization recruits players in AHL and its newly created ECHL team in Trois-Rivières
