It could be age. I forget how old he is but he had to be getting up there

He’s 34 I think. But an old 34. A lot of miles on him playing the way he did.

His age really is catching up. I thought he’d have a slow regression, but it looks like he fell off of a cliff. He should be lowry’s RW and just muck and grind it up until his body can’t handle it.

He's 35

last year he was decent, a decline isn't surprising. However a sharp decline was surprising. Not scoring one goal yet is definitely surprising even though he isn't known as a goal scorer.

I hope he gets things on track again. Wheeler's 5v5 fancy stats are good when comparing to others on the team so 4 even strength points in 12 games (plus 1 power play point) suggests to me that it is confidence / cold streak.
