Arizona: embraces rebuild. gains 5 picks 1st, 2 2nds, 1 3rd 1 4th to help bolster their prospect core even more with that they also receive 3 players under the age of 23 all of which posses a potential of 3c and higher and top 4 LHD, they do take back quite a bit of cap but that is to ensure they stay about the cap floor, also neither of their retained salaries or contracts they take back last more then 2 seasons. In reality the only bad thing that could happen with this trade is arizona does all this tanking and doesn't get wright, even then though having 4 1sts, 5 2nds and 2 3rds in the 2022 draft sets up their teams greatly for the future
Calgary: in return for losing 2c and LHD1 they get a better LHD1 with a higher potential and a better team friendly contract with that they get there RW2 and LW3 my projected lines for calgarys top 9 is
Gaudreau- Lindholm- Tkachuk
Mangiapane- Dube- Kessel
Debrusk- Backlund- Coleman
if calgary doesn't fit under the cap i could see them moving lucic or zadorovs contracts for a 3rd/4th rd pick lucic would most likely go to a team close to the cap floor as not much contenders will be able to afford him as for zadorov i could see teams around that 12-6 ranked mark look to improve their bottom pair with a big physical defenceman that plays with an edge
Bruins: at the cost of 2 of their top 6 prospects aswell as their LW3 and a plethora of draft picks
they free up a few dead conctracts while also filling their 2 biggest needs 2c and LHD1 both players are on great deals that match the same time frame as a lot of their veterans contracts when the time comes bruins won't have a problem giving out raises to each player as majority of bruins contracts depth will be off the books

arizona retains 1.375 mill of monahans contract, calgary retains 1 mill. monahan contract 4 mill for bruins allowing bruins to have 2 mill in cap

I don't see why Calgary would want to do that. Let's say Hanifin and Chychrun cancel each other out since they are both really good young defencemen signed to nice contracts. I look at that trade as Monahan for Kessel and debrusk and I think Calgary would just rather have Monahan.

well i would say chychrun is better then hanifin by a little bit last season chychrun was a top 5 LHD so they gain more value there i won't take chychruns struggles too serious look at ari's roster it's an ahl team almost. as for kessel and debrusk i saw a few calgary ACGM's where they were looking for a right handed shot on the second line and thats what kessel is, dube seems like a decent playmaker and im sure he would look even better with 2 30+ goals scorers like mangiapane and kessel on his line. debrusk is stil a good 3LW and his defence has improved so will fit right in on that line with backlund and coleman
As so often with Bruins AGMs it comes back to that they just don't have the futures to acquire an elite asset AZ definitely isn't ok with that for chychrun
Even Lysell a 21st overall in a weak draft who has just solid NHLe numbers so far is more like a regular 30th overall pick so just more of the same for them
To get Chychrun they'd have to give up almost all their 1st round ish level assets like literally all of them lol the ultimate quantity over quality return
