KK isn't even a bad deal. It's an offersheet, so it's going to be an overpay, but it's also one year. Far better than all the other deals on here. Not to mention, KK's been great and he's largely played on the wing. Now hes playing center (admittedly on the forth line) he looks dominant and he could very quickly move up the lineup.

He has 3 points in 14 games i think that says enough. Yeah, he doesnt have term but what does is qualifying offer have to be? A first and a third for minimal production for one year and $6M is a bad contract

This is a game about far more than production. He's been incredibly promising. Solid in a defensive role, and playing in a new position with a new team, there's going to be an adjusting period, but specifically lately, he's been incredible. Per NST, he's got a better xGF than some of the PPG players on the team. That says about enough. Saying he was acquired for a first and a third doesn't mean his contract his bad. It has absolutely no effect on that.
