- Young top 4 defenseman that can play the right side, doesn't necessarily need to be right-handed per se. Has to provide + value defensively, preferably significantly.
OR

OR
High end/borderline elite D prospect
motte, pearson, myers, poolman, hamonic, chiasson, sutter, dickinson, hunt, halak, highmore are also all available
Boeser, horvat also *potentially* available for the right price
If I’m Vancouver , I’m asking for Barron or Schneider and holding firm on those requests.
My thoughts exactly. Barron, a 1st, and like a 2nd or prospect of equivalent value for Miller 50% retained seems to be the agreeable value. Rangers fans just massively overrate their prospects so Schneider isn't gonna happen according to them

I was always high on Barron even before the draft. If it wasn’t for the injuries , he would’ve went top 12.

Let’s say you trade Miller for Schneider/Barron + . Then trade Pettersson for Rossi ++ . Then draft top 5 , either Nemec at RD or Savoie/Geekie/Cooley as C/RW. Do u think that makes the team better or worse

I wouldn't trade Pettersson. I would trade Horvat tho. Which I do think would make the team better in the long run

Ok make sense. I’m always of the mindset of refreshing your prospect pool instead of keeping everyone and paying them all. Eventually you run out of cap space and still have holes in your lineup. So trading one of your core players for a Schneider and a 1st and clearing cap is pretty important to avoid having salary issues

I agree it's a completely different sport but it's something the Rays do incredibly well. I really think it's something the Canucks need to do this trade deadline

They need to at least trade Miller. Horvat would be a sad loss but it might have to be done

Yeah. If you got Barron or Schneider, would u still draft a RD in the top 10 or would u go forward?
