Minimal add now then another at the deadline

Description
Pulock is out 4-6 weeks. Address defense now to help the group until Pulock returns. Then if they the Isles are in better shape by the deadline use that 1st to add even more.

Vegas trade is just an example. I'd look to pair that 1st in order to get yet another d-man and a forward if possible. The Knights will be in a tough spot when Eichel comes back.
Transactions
1.
NYI
  1. Gostisbehere, Shayne (2 250 000 $ retained)
Détails additionnels:
Ghost (or someone similar) should be added now to try and stabilize the ship. Isles need a puckmover and PP quarterback. Ghost at 50% should be capable of both and doesn't cost the farm. Fills a need and defense bolstered even more when Pulock returns. This move still leaves the Isles with cap space accumulating towards the deadline to add another piece if needed.
ARI
  1. Choix de 2e ronde en 2022 (COL)
2.
NYI
  1. McNabb, Brayden
  2. Smith, Reilly
Détails additionnels:
Isles should have enough deadline cap space to make this fit. I'm like 99% sure. But if not, find a taker for Hickey and you'd definitely be alright.
VGK
  1. Aho, Sebastian
  2. Bellows, Kieffer
  3. Choix de 1e ronde en 2022 (NYI)
Détails additionnels:
Vegas will need cap space when Eichel is healthy again. Isles add yet another LD and a top-9 winger who can push anyone out of the lineup when they're cold. Isles

Arizona trade is fine . That Vegas trade is insane, It doesn’t even make the isles a better team and we’re giving up a 1st to do it

Let's wait until after Pulock & Bailey return to see how a possible trade goes along

I think McNabb is a pretty sizable improvement over Chara/Dobson and Reilly Smith is still scoring at a 25 goal clip. He actually shoots the puck. I like the flexibility he brings to the lineup. Could allow Barry to sit a passenger on the wing any time he wants to.

Yeah, it sucks, but hopefully we can get through it. Maybe we can pull a 2019 St. Louis who knows

4-6 weeks of waiting? Nah something has to be done ASAP in my opinion. Doesn't have to be the trade that you sell the farm for, but something to try and stabilize this team. If the road trip was a wild success I'd agree with you. Can't get the team into a tailspin

Mcnabb is a replacement level defenseman, sure he’s better than Chara but that’s not hard to do. Smith is more of a playmaker and his linemates/system are a big reason for his goal totals. I’m not even sure he’s a better player than Parise. Trading a 1st for a rental is the single worst thing this team can do, they should be trying internal options with young + hungry players like Salo/Golyshev

That's a way to look at it. It's still kinda early in the season. But I get what your saying. Action taken now would help the team.

Btw Dobson is better than Mcnabb in almost every offensive and defensive metric. That’s not great considering Mcnabb plays with Theodore/pietrangelo. I bet Robin Salo is better than Mcnabb right now, and he should get the call up.
