Certainly looks like one. Amazing that you would need to add that much more skill to the leafs to qualify them as a cup contender.

They're a playoff team now, but this makes them a contender for sure.

Manson has been bad for 3 seasons. Is he even an upgrade over Holl?

Yes in my opinion. I heard Holl has been scratched most of this season.

100%. Holl isn’t very good and both him and the leafs have been lucky to have Muzzin put him on his shoulders. Now Muzz is a bit off and Holl is a lost puppy on the ice.

Doubt Vancouver trades Miller. they are a retool team, not a rebuild team. so they wouldn't trade a significant player for futures and an under performing player.

4 games this season. And he's been good since he got back. 4 games vs 3 seasons?

He's been fine since being reinserted into the lineup. Early season downs. Manson has been downright bad for most of 3 seasons. No thanks.

Does that get you Eberle? And does it convince Seattle to retain that much for three seasons?

I feel like multiple teams would give more than 2 3rds and a middle 6 forward for Ebs retained.

Those are pretty weak offers to SEA and ANA. With the retention I think you're giving one of the 3rds to ANA and I think you're adding a TOR 2022 1st and a good prospect to SEA. Retention of those amounts is probably a 3rd at worst, but 3 years of retention to SEA is worth alot more than what you;re offering.

Problem is: if you're offering picks in drafts 2-3 years away that hurts the value of the pick. SO while I think the offer for JT Miller (doubt VAN accepts) is okay, the other offers are weak.

Holl, a 2nd and 3rd TWO drafts away for Manson and 50% retention (who's reputation is getting this return) sounds fair, but is still on the weak side based on the picks being two drafts away.

Eberle and THREE years of 2.6mil retention is TOR 2022 1st, TOR 2023 3rd, Kerfoot (dont think they want him anyways) and probably one of the big prospects of Robertson, Topi or Abramov, and I don;t know if its enough, Seattle didn;t want Kerfoot in expansion and hes very similar to what they have lots of: tweener 5-9th forwards. BUT, theres part of me thinks that a top 6 forward in Eberle at 2.6 for 3 years is worth more to TOR moving forward as well, that they might/should add the 2022 2nd as well.
