Wouldn't mind bringing back Appleton but wouldn't give Samberg for him even if there doesn't seem to be much room for him, things could change quickly and some dmen could be going out to free up cap space which could open up a spot for him.

Accruing cap space is a big deal, it gives the team the ability to make in-season trades and acquire pieces at the deadline without having to subtract from the roster. The season Tampa traded to stop having to use LTIR, they got Coleman & Goodrow at the deadline. So the ability to grow your cap space throughout the year is critical
