Seattle retaining 50% on Giordano would probably help cushion some of those potential bonus overages too, no?

Isles don't have bonus overages to worry about after the Boychuk trade from my understanding. It happened before any of the Greene/Chara/Parise bonuses were hit. That trade got out from under LTIR and have been accruing cap space ever since

That is not a good trade to Seattle. Giordano may be able to a first but not Bolduc also.

This could simply be a failure of the simplicity AGM offers as I also recognize that you aren't getting either of Giordano or Smith at full price and will have some savings from the remainder of what would have been penciled in for Bailey, but will the Islanders accrue that much space that quickly?

My understanding of accrued space is limited, but is it not equivalent to the sum of the per-game cap hits of the scratched/injured players throughout the season plus whatever cap space you had going into the beginning of the season?

I suspect the bonuses for Dobson and Wahlstrom are Schedule B bonuses and not at all likely to occur at this point? There's a million there between the two.

This is the Isles deadline cap space. I'm not sure about the Dobson or Wahlstrom bonuses, but I do know that getting out of LTIR was crucial for the Isles to be able to do anything significant come the deadline
