I mean, if that Detroit trade was offered before the 2020-21 season, that’s a great haul for Detroit. Now? Bert’s play is ascending, Laffy’s is descending… Larkin is our captain… it’s not bad, but if Detroit’s retaining that much for multiple seasons there should be more.

First of all, you're not getting all that retention from Army. Secondly, I'm not sure Kaako has so much allure. And really, you've done nothing to replace Tarasenko on this current team or given them a top pairing LD. They're trying to win now, too, ya know.

So, yeah, gonna pass. And Army probably does, as well.

I think that would be a reasonable offer for 1 of Bertuzzi/Larkin, Lafreniere should be able to develop into a really good player if Detroit knows how to use him properly.

The one would be Bertuzzi because Detroit won't trade Larkin. So that would be an over pay. I'd probably do Chytil and Miller or Chytil and a 1st. Detroit's biggest hole is at center so if they do trade Bertuzzi they would be looking for a center.

I'd consider the Miller trade but unsure how to value Krav. Would kind of rather a first.

As a detroit fan I'll focus on that one. The second round pick covers the retention on Bertuzzi. The first would be the cost for Larkin, it costs more since it takes our last retention slot for the next two years. Miller and lafreniere are really nice pieces and I feel one of them and Chytil would be the price for just Bertuzzi right now. So to pry Larkin as well going to cost more I think.

I would definitely take Miller in that deal.

He fits our team needs better. I would definitely take Lafreniere in a trade and try to develop him better but I still think his value is very high.

Miller is better than both Larkin and bertuzzi but they somehow get a return more than 3x better…?

They would want the moon for Lafreniere and if I was in that position I would feel the same way.

Next year -9m Without Strome, Smith & Edler. Which means we have to move 9m+1m replacement player cost. Hard to do with NTCs. 100% impossible. Thank God considering all our young guns are gone lol
