Not sure Girad is getting out of Colorado, but if he does not sure if your D core here works, JDB is a top 4 player, with the lineup you have here it will be hard to get everyone minutes, as well Thomson has not had much experience at all playing RD, he stays on LD like he did last night and looked good. I would worry that there aren't enough minutes to go around for all that D core and would lead to some of the players wanting out.

As well, while I know Greig is playing C in WHL right now, that is only because he is too good for the WHL, I highly doubt he will see much time there in NHL, however, Kelly is more than suitable to play C on that line or Kastlic.

I love the Formenton and Sokolov pairing for the Third line, I have been saying in a bunch of other posts they looked great together in the preseason this year.

I am open to the Giroux pick up if he is available at this cap hit or less short term, however, I think that the sens have the assets like your Girad move, to get a young high skilled RW Right shot would be better use of those assets than a Girad move. I am looking at the likes of Keller, Boeser, Terry, Kyrou, Koneceny, Necas.

You want Girard, you have to give up Batherson level talent and with term. Avs are not moving Girard(they arent moving him at all) for pending UFAs and prospect who are struggling to become NHLers
