My point exactly. Tuch is only slightly better now than Gabe but is injured, and Gabe may have a higher upside. Krebs is better than Pinelli by almost as much as Eichel is better than Girard, but even our 2023 first is likely to be better than Las Vegas' 2022 first. This is a huge overpay, and we don't need to do it.

Ideally Colorado asks for Turcotte. Turcotte + 2nd for Girard. But if you don’t want to include Turcotte. Vilardi + Faber + 2nd . Something like that but I still think Colorado only trades him if they’re getting a Turcotte

Yeah, I might have overstated that comparison by more than a little. His one good year without injury Vilardi recorded 0.4 points per game (roughly), and over his four full years, Tuch is at almost 0.6 PPG.

I think Vilardi still has too much upside to consider trading him now. He hasn't reached his potential yet, and due to that fact, his trade value would be a fraction of what it should be. Unless the Kings feel like he's not going to figure out is game and decide to sell him for a loss, I don't think Vilardi is going anywhere.

imo too girard wont cost that much. ideally a young top 6 winger with term.

My confusion is Hertl being paid 8x7 on a team stacked at center and with bad blood against the Kings, I think the Kings would be the last place he'd want to go.

Yeah I’m realizing that hertl contract is way too much by year 3 we’d all probably laugh at it. I’d pass on it. If he’d sign 5 years I’d be ok with that.
