I'd like Kane to resign/extend before giving up that 1st. If he was the missing piece to a Cup, then ok on 1.25 years and done ... but Devs still have some way to go, so I'd rather know NJ could retain him, before losing three potential building blocks / long term contributors.

Maybe add 2/3 x 8 again to his existing? Not sure how it projects with rest of team & admittedly this might be a non starter after signing all the RFAs coming due ( I'm too lazy to do the math today). Tough call for me, but its certainly an intriguing trade & potential lineup.

Its a tough call for me too. But if we were close, and the deal made sense, it would be a joy to watch Bratt, Hughes, and Kane play together.

Its a cap dump deal, for the rest his last year of his contract. VGK either gets rid of Smith of Dadonov to dump salary for Eichel, probably Smith. Maybe the pick is a 3rd or they give a prospect, but does not change the context of the deal.

Would not be able to do that at the 21-22 deadline since hes got 2 years left, but maybe can get one in 22-23. Its a gamble

Oh man, its crazy risky. Really has to be a situation where the team has come along & established themselves as a serious Cup threat & Fitz is convinced Kane's the final piece. Its one of those deals that could make him a legend or cost him his job.
