I would think so too, because while Myers' cost control is a bit high for what he brings, having the certainty of what he brings might make Philly willing to take on his contract as a means of disposing of Risto if he doesn't figure it out

Even though Risto isn't producing right now Philly isn't trading him. He was brought in mostly for his physical game. Philly paid a hefty price for him so they aren't trading him for that cheap.

we dont even consider this.

risto and a first for myers is a pass from vancouver.

Myers is not good

Risto is the worst defensive D man of the last half decade.

Didn't you read the proposal? It's Myers and a 3rd for Risto and a 6th, there is no 1st round pick going either way, get your eyes checked before you post a dismissive comment please

Philly certainly took a risk bringing him in, but if it doesn't pay off, then I guess it's either trade him again for cheap or let him walk in free agency for nothing

I said if they gave us a first I still wouldnt do this, that's how far off you are,

I know people post 50 trades a week on here only to feel special but can you even get close once in a while?

We are only allowed to post 5 proposals within a 24 hour period, trust me when I say I don't publish any trade proposal carelessly. I'll tell you this, what matters most to me in contributing to this part of the forum is that I always feel I have made as fair a deal as I can come up with, don't believe me, then too bad. Now I apologize, I misread your initial post, you stated that Vancouver should take a pass if Philadelphia offered a first round pick with Risto for Myers. Obviously Ristolainen's value has been clouded since his Buffalo days (Can't imagine how you feel about the package Philly gave up to get him), but I personally would not be so harsh to judge Risto's game. He's probably not a defensive oriented D-man, but I'm sure he is better defensively than guys like Shayne Gostisbehere and Tony DeAngelo, Risto is definitely not a negative asset, and I think Myers for Risto and a second rounder would be a complete steal for Vancouver, let alone a first rounder

Look, I know I post a lot of proposals, I really do have a lot of fun coming up with them, but believe me when I tell you I'm not at all trying to be a troll or waste anybody's time

" trust me when I say I don't publish any trade proposal carelessly"

hard doubt

"Risto is definitely not a negative asset"

factually untrue

The rest of it I just can't compartmentalize. But yeah I laughed pretty hard at Philly for the Risto trade. At least they stole Ellis.

I'm not trying to de-legitimize your perspective or your argument on things, but this is my trade proposal, not yours, so unless deep down inside you wish that you shared a collective mind with all hockey fans, I wish that you would stop taking personally the takes that us fellow fans who happen to have opposing opinions come up with, and stop acting so aggressive towards us. If this is your default reaction by nature, then that needs to change

While we are on the subject, tell David Poile that he got fleeced in the Ryan Ellis trade, cause I'm not sure he feels he was

Well it's too bad we can't talk this over in person isn't it

I am not force feeding my trade proposals to anybody, ANYBODY, you hear? You have the physical option of not clicking on my proposals if you know you aren't going to like what I have come up with. To be clear right now, I am no longer defending this trade proposal I've made, but what I am doing right now is I am questioning your attitude on this forum. If you want to counter that and say you are questioning my attitude? Well then I say that it's you who started this debate. I just posted a simple trade proposal, it doesn't matter how Ludacris you think it is, you have the ability to choose whether to react rationally to it or not, so don't you dare accuse me of spamming this forum, because the issue doesn't start with the types of trade proposals that get published on this forum, it starts with how the fans who are a part of this community react to those proposals made by others. I don't WANT to sound like I am lecturing, I just want you to know, from one cap friendly user to another, that this community here can be a better place if we can just be consistently that much more thoughtful towards one another. That's all

Yeah, take it down a notch there @reelkena . Keep the real world preaching to the Reddit forums. Not everyone has to share the same opinion about hockey players value.

People: This is my opinion

Me: It's illogical for these reasons

People: I disagree for these reasons

Me: That's illogical for these reasons

People: WeRe AlL aLlOwEd To DiSaGrEe! (completely ignoring two posts ago when they also could have just said my comment was free to think the post is illogical)

Me: Or, instead, stop being hypocritical

You: You're not allowed to do this.

Me: Yes, yes I am. Go find an instagramer to defend or something.
