The PIT trade seems fair and as a leafs fan I would accept. A second alone is too much for Strome. Maybe Engvall and a 4th for Strome. otherwise looking good!

I honestly think that of all the Leafs AGMs here, this is not unreasonable at all. I think none of us really know how picks are valued tbh, so I personally try to walk the line a bit between cautious and every once in a while something that seems nuts. Remember Goodrow and Coleman for a 1st each? We all thought that was insane.

I wonder what Pens fans would say about needing Holl, and I'm curious about the interest in DeSmith but value wise it seems ok, maybe an overpay on the Toronto side. Same with Strome, I think a lower pick. But definitely the right ideas, and I personally wouldn't drag someone across the coals about draft picks.

I've seen far, far worse. You could probably even land a couple of these.

Strome is not a player we should go for. And then especially not put him on the checking/defensive line with Kampf and Kase.

I do like the idea of a ZAR - Holl swap, with picks to balance, but I don’t see the Leafs trading for a backup goalie nor the Penguins trading their backup goalie.

This also just insanely depleted our draft capital.

Thank you, unlike other AGM’s i actually do research & look at the teams needs & the market value rn, i think these trades make sense from each Teams Perspective imo (And Good Lord Have I seen The Bad AGM’s not just Leafs but everyone)

The ZAR & De Smith Trade was looking at Pittsburg’s needs and
they have Louis Domingue sitting in the Minors who’s no great goaltender but a Meh Backup so i think this tackles a need for the Leafs which is depth + a Backup Goaltender & The pens which is a RD

The Draft Capital can be brought back with other trades , also Strome after this year i believe would want a prove it deal he’s young he’s shown he can be a 50-60 point player & i think he’ll do well on that 3rd line but not as a checking forward but as a goal scoring threat cause tbh Kampf & Kase are great but there chances whistle wide all too often & Watching Engvall gilde in a circle around the net to the top of the slot is just so predictable at this point & almost always gets blocked

I was just wondering myself if Jani Hakanpaa (signed for 3 years @ $1.5) or UFA Ilya Lyubushkin could be picked up for depth.

I would love to see a player like ZAR replace Ritchie's role in the bottom 6 where Ritchie seems to be struggling in how to engage.

In the top 6 I would love to see if JT Miller could be had as some AGMs have suggested.

Getting one 'Muzzin' type dman to complement Rielly, Brodie and Muzzin in the top 4 would be a coup....trying not to be Captain Obvious...

A 2nd, a good defenceman and a 4th for a 4th liner and a backup who may go on waivers when Mrazek is healthy seems rather poor asset management.

Yeah, I'm going to have to agree here.

No reason to acquire DeSmith, best to just gamble with Jack's health and hope that you only have to play Woll/Hutch once or twice until Mrazek comes back.

I also don't see the need to give up a defenseman for another bottom 6 player. If there are any injures to the back end, TOR will be real trouble.

Kampf is a great defensive center and face off guy but he's definitely not a reliable scorer. I think he's best used on a 4th line and with the PK. Strome is a middle 6 center and not nearly as good on the wing which the Hawks keep experimenting with and his stats plummet as such. Redo your bottom 6 with Strome as the 3C and Kampf as the 4C, or move Kampf to the RW on the 3rd line when in the o zone or neutral zone and move him back to C only when in the D zone.
