Another first round exit

Équipe: 2022-23 Maple Leafs de Toronto
Date de création initiale: 9 nov. 2021
Publié: 9 nov. 2021
Mode - plafond salarial: Basique
Description
I don't think Manson will be too expensive, given that his offensive numbers have gone down the last few years. Still a very good shut down RHD. Semyonov is playing great in the AHL, he might be ready for 4th line duties next year.

It's going to be hard to trade an injury prone expensive goalie, but yeah a bad signing from the start. At least it looks like it

If the leafs have another 1st round exit I have to think one of nylander, Tavares or marner is gone. All wicked players just too much to 4 players on a team.

Yes the re-signs are pretty weak.

Doe Semyonov even stay in North America for less money and a vague promise regarding 4th line time?
Sandin won;t sign that weak offer
Does Campbell at 29 yrs old take the same money as his backup? This is campbells chance for a payday and he wont get another, theres other teams out there with cap space who need a goalie (Buffalo for one).
Manson is not a good 1RD anymore, but doubtful given the current market for RD, that he takes a paycut on a 3 yr deal
Suprise, Kase has stayed healthy, but if he continues to does he take a pay cut?

Never mind the other questions of whether bunting/marchment/kampf produce or if simmonds/kase have anything left/can stay healthy.

But ultimately if you are judging from another first round exit (as is your title), you haven;t really changed anything or addressed the problem, youre just hoping for miraculous under payments to ice a team no better.
