maybe some sort of girard/miller trade would fit both teams’ needs.

it would have to be boeser, Miller doesnt have the contract control that Girard has with his sweetheart of a deal

You talk about it with all these girard trades and yes girard has a good deal. Heres my question though, if girards deal was up this season, what do you think he would get?

If he was an rfa this offseason? He probably would be asking in that 7m-8m range

my thought was that boeser’s going to cost 7.5+ on a long term deal this summer with his 7.5m QO, while miller certainly won’t cost as much to keep (somewhere around 6 would be my guess), and the avs aren’t exactly a team that can afford to pay a third winger upwards of 7m when mack is going to need a huge deal and byram’s going to get paid too.

According to Coga Miller is only a 50 point second line player who had one outlier season... you don't trade a defenseman of Girard's caliber for a second line player, isn't that right Coga?

Personally I wouldn't swap Girard for Miller if I was COL, solely based on the long term favorable cap hit of Girard's contract. If Miller had another 3-4 years on his deal at his current cap hit it might be different. I would give some serious thought to trading Boeser for Girard, but if Boeser was available I would probably be looking at all RD options to see if there was a better fit for QH. Hard to ignore Girard's extremely team friendly contract though.

Where did I say you said they should trade for Miller? I said "According to Coga Miller is only a 50 point second line player who had one outlier season".

The trolling part you are referring to, which is the "you don't trade a defenseman of Girard's caliber for a second line player, isn't that right Coga?" part, is that here you imply that Miller's value is comparable to Girard's minus the contract, "it would have to be boeser, Miller doesnt have the contract control that Girard has with his sweetheart of a deal".

Clearly a defenseman of Girard's caliber, he is a very good defenseman, is worth more than that of a 50 point second line player, no?

You've mentioned him plenty of times in plenty of AGM's.
Not "butt hurt" at all, just take enjoyment calling out the super aggressive arrogant posters on the site from time to time.

Have a good sleep bud!
