It does not, but Holl was their #4. They could definitely use someone in that top 4. That would be the biggest hole on the roster..

That might be a fair TDL cost for MN? I don't see their GM giving up a 1st though.

I think what you're asking for Malkin and Dumoulin is too high, but the rest of the proposals are reasonable.

I agree with the theory, but how does TOR fit Letang's caphit in?

              Modifié 8 nov. 2021 à 19 h 36. Raison: Response
This is an absolute no! Minnesota isn't trading greenway, or 1st round pick and more for a 3rd pairing dman for maybe half of the year, or year especially with the 2022 and 23 draft stacked. Jeff Carter is worth a 3rd round pick and prospect

              Spurgeon, brodin
              Dumba, Alex g
              Dmitry, Jon merrill, calen addison

So, no chance Minnesota needs d, or giving up 1st round pick in 2022, and 2nd round pick for Jeff Carter. You overrate Brian d, and Jeff Carter's worth

              Thanks for the feedback!
If PIT retains half at the deadline, it is $3.75M roughly for Letang. Pens are taking back $4.5M with Holl and Ritchie, so cap works out.

The reason I did it is because you get Dumo this szn and next for about $2M. With Suter and Parise's buyouts going up, you will need guys for cheap. Also, you clearly dont watch any Pens games if you think Dumo is a 3rd pair defenseman. He is one of the most sound defensive dmen in the league and can definitely slot in your top 4. Goligoski is not returning, unless he takes a massive pay cut. If you make a deep run, that 1st round pivk is late. Greenway has not been amazing, but still has potential. Also, a 3rd + prospect is similar to just a 2nd, so you can change that if you want. I think you are getting decent value for a team who is going to be cap strapped because of buyouts.

Minnesota has calen addison. Goliskiski is returning. It was literally reported when he signed, there was a handshake deal, agreement to return for next year. Again, not trying to be disrespectful, but Minnesota doesn't have any need or room for d when calen addison will be up again before year is over, and he was a stud. Wild aren't making a deep run, that is just a fact, they don't have the roster for that. Wild can easily get 2nd round pick and prospect for Greenway. Brian d would be 3rd pairing for maybe half or year on wild just this year, but Jon merrill has been steady with Dimitry.

Goli and Spurgeon are awful. Merril is too. Brodin/Dumba and Kulikov/Merrill as the top-4 isn't going to work for the Playoffs. Freddy G isn't close to a top-6 center. This trade fills MN's 2 biggest holes top-4 LD and middle-6 center.

Carter goes between Kaprizov and Zucc. Dumoulin can shelter Spurgeon enough so he can do his normal thing instead of trying to carry a d-pair. It also keeps the d-corps cost manageable for next year with 3 d-men making less than $6m combined.

The 1st is too much, but with TDL inflation it's not a gross overpay.
