tough choices next year if Bergeron leaves

Description
Embrace the tank for Bedard. Would be nice to sign one of the younger UFAs like Gaudreau/Lindholm/Hertl to accelerate the rebuild but I don't think that's realistic.

  1. Haula, Erik
Détails additionnels:
Not sure if it would be Florida specifically who is interested in Haula. He's a fine player but it wouldn't make sense to keep him. Someone would pay a couple later draft picks to rent him at next year's deadline.

CAR
  1. Hall, Taylor
Détails additionnels:
Not sure Hall would even accept a deal, depends if he wants to go to a true contender. Sounds like part of the reason he signed here was just for stability, so maybe he wouldn't get traded at all. If he does, my guess is it'll be the season after next, once he realizes Boston isn't going to win him a cup. (So this 2024 first rounder is Carolina's first in the year they're making the trade)

If Boston is out at deadline, and they don't think they will resign him to extension, what is price on Bergeron?

Marchand seems like a tardigrade (was just watching a video on them) but he's human and set to decline any minute, too risky to trade Dob for him

I mean Foligno last year got a 1st, Palmieri along with Zajac got a 1st +. So i would say the price would be fairly significant increase from there. Cant see BOS moving him regardless to be honest - it would be up to him if they are out of a spot

Dobson is awesome - dont blame you for not wanting to get rid of him. I will say though some team (may not be the Islanders) will probably pay that price and more for a 90 point every situation winger under contract. He's older but he hasnt really shown any sign of slowing down anytime soon.

Zero chance Boston trade Marchand or Hall. For those saying Bergeron, there is a negative % chance they move him. It'd be a PR disaster for Boston to trade Bergeron, not to mention he has a 3 team trade list and I can't see him want to leave Boston.

Agreed. If those three go then McAvoy and Pastrnak are gone as well because they will not want to stay. Going to have to rebuild on the fly around those five. Lysell and this years first, especially if they miss the playoffs, are the start of that rebuild.
