Merzlikis seems like a fan favourite and just extended, don't see any reason for CBJ to move him, especially given that your just giving them a UFA goalie.

As for the Arizona deal, just doesn't make sense. Klefbom is LTIR'd so we get the cap space regardless. Not giving up a valuable pick that could be used to upgrade somewhere else. Oilers and Katz don't care that they are still paying Klefbom, so this doesn't make sense.
