Think you forgot about Martinez's M NTC. Why does anything Eichel is a 10m cap hit to Vegas, or Stone 9m or Patches 7m?

If Eichel isn't back before the playoffs, they're fine. Otherwise, yes.

Eichel still plans to play in the Olympics which means he would be back well before even the TDL. The season ends apr 29th which is almost 6 months from now

Even if that's the case, they can't fit Stone and Patches under the cap now.

Teams would absolutely fudge recovery times if it gave them the advantage for the playoffs. It might not take 6 months for Eichel to recover but he will probably be on ltir for 6 months. And they might just not let him play, I can see Vegas being extra cautious.

????? But if Eichel returns for two months, a third of the season, his cap hit to to Vegas is 3.3, not 10m. Same with Stone, he might miss a third of the season, that's 6m cap hit not 9m
