I think with Samsonov, the Caps just have to be patient and keep trying to help him develop into the great goalie they've already seen so many flashes of. And in the offseason, if they can't afford him, there will be other goalies on the market. A 3rd round pick is not worth arguing for. He's easily worth a 2nd and a backup goalie if a team needs a starter. It's just too early in the season for any team to need a starting goalie.

Oshie is hurt. MAntha is hurt long term? so we currently have Ovechkin and Wilson... who else would you consider a top 6 talent? or did you miss the fact they are both hurt? Leason currently is our 3rd best goal scoring winger this year with TWO GOALS!!! yes TWO will get you into 3rd in goals thats how incredible our wing depth is this year

Sammy has been underwhelming for the last 2 years... the pick is conditional and could become a 2nd if he actually can get a starting job in another city.

Vegas trade is amazing bc you get a guy who is Orlov good + a winger that is slightly worse than Mantha for basically Mantha.

Schultz is extremely disposable
