Neither CBJ or VAN does those trades.

I dont see why you'd trade lehner to save 1 mill in cap... thats IF Campbell signs for 5. Gru got 5+ mill a year. so will Campbell. Lehner contract is probably one of the best on the team.

Ah yes, another offensive minded LD. That’s exactly what the Canucks need!

Not even near enough for Patrik Laine, And fat chance of Alec Martinez even waiving for Vancouver pretty sure they're on his 16 team no trade list.

What's the reason for Van to do that trade? we don't need an offensive LD or any offensive D at that

ya fair enough maybe an equivalence of martinez on the RH side would be better. but they need to look for shutdown guys not two guys OEL and hughes are way to offensive and need stay at home partners such hamonic isn't playing as he was perfect for that role, myers is also very offensive even though the guy is 6'8 he's very underwhelming defensively and physically

I guess you haven’t watched the Canucks at all this season which is fair. OEL has been amazing defensively. Hughes also has cleaned up his defensive game. Myers has been decent and defense hasn’t been a problem. Our offense just needs to start clicking

yes but as of the last 2 years hughes was one of the worst defencemen in his end analytically he may have improved it a bit but he is still very much an offensive dman. as for OEL he was always decent two way as he was pretty physical back in the day but i don't think he's as good in his own end as he used to be. also you can't give all the credit to the Defence as canucks do have some decent defensive forwards as well

Last 1 year. He’s only been in the league for two years and he was decent defensively in his rookie year. Yes he sucked last year but so did everyone else on the Canucks. My point is that the defense on the Canucks have actually be surprisingly decent. They haven’t given up an even strength goal for 180 minutes. That’s 3 games without an even strength goal against. It’s the penalty kill that’s been awful. Anyway, have a nice day
