Not saying I particularly trust this source, but from the Calgary Hockey Now article:

“Early Wednesday evening, Calgary shot past the Golden Knights with a significant offer, including Tkachuk or Monahan, a first-rounder, a prospect who is a former first-rounder, and two more prospects.”

If we replace Tkachuk in Weekes’s offer with Monahan, it makes a hell of a lot more sense. Monahan+Zary+1st+2 prospects (presumably two from the pool of Ruzicka, Kuznetsov, Poirier, Boltmann, Heineman, Gawdin, Pospisil, Whynot, Stromgren or something, not one of Coronato/Pelletier/Wolf) is a good offer. If Tkachuk is involved If be hesitant to include anything other than a conditional 1st, and no other pieces, definitely not one of our big 4 prospects.

I don’t think he’s gonna be traded this year and possibly not next. Their asking price is soooo high it’s stupid. Everyone remembers what happens with lindros, nobody’s paying that much.
