Trouba has been really good, the offense hasn't been there yet seeing as he went from 1PP time on the jets to emergency PP minutes on the rangers, but hes been eating minutes defensively this season

Him coming in under 10 is a W for NYR.

The only two 8 digit Dmen in the league falling flat immediately after signing those deals has probably done a fair bit to keep prices down.

He's been pretty solid, but he's not worth $8M AAV.

If Fox or Makar had been UFA's they would easily top 8 figures.

I still don't think it's a particulary "good" contract. He might be alright for now but he has been *rough* at times in the past.

He's been amazing, but he likely wouldn't be a Cane if Fox was here. The Rangers would've IMO been far less likely to treat TDA as a pariah if he was their only reliable offensive source on the blueline.

Idk man, Fox wasn't what alienated TDA in our locker room, obviously we have no details, but at the end of the day Fox didn't seal Deangelo's fate, but hes made it MUCH easier to live with

he's the best of the group. Only one who beats him value wise on cheapest deal is really just Miro, but Miro isn't as good as the Norris winner. and comparing him to Makar. Fox is only making 500K extra on 1 Year more than Makar which is an honest steal for the extra year.

L people get caught up in Othmann being a left winger when we can hold him off until 2024 when we can trade Kreider and CK can always play right wing, if Othmann forces our hands early thats even better

Doesn't matter if Nemeth is not going to be a Ranger at the end of the deal. Rangers signed him to an unnecessary 3 year contract which they will likely have to dump in a year or two. If he was signed to a 1 year deal, it would be a good move
Othmann was a bad pick. Sure you can move players to RW but Othmann is gonna be stuck in the bottom 6. Rangers could have used the first on a center or LD or used it to acquire a player they need. No need to use the pick on a gritty winger
