Mode - plafond salarial: Basique

Description

Realistically, AM34 is walking after the contract, a contract that should have been 8 years but the GM missed on that. I'm sure Leaf fans will want double or triple this package or the old "it starts with _______". Here there is a 1st in a deep draft, Othmann was drafted to be a Kreider replacement so you can envision what he should become, Nils is similar to Sandin, Chytil you probably know enough about, Kravs has the potential and Nemeth is just salary balancing but good 6th man.

The EDM trade isn't supposed to be an accurate evaluation. adjust with picks and nobody prospects as you wish. The goal was to finish a solid 4th checking line.

Spezza and Simmonds are guys that will come in and out for injuries, etc.

Amirov/Robertson need to make the jump and put them on top line for success.

I actually love this ACGM for Toronto. I think, even though the EDM trade is good for Toronto, that you can get that Kassian deal for just Holl, and then get like a 3rd from another team for Kerfoot.

i feel like a better matthews trade here would be like laf + kreider + a 1st with maybe kravtsov/some other pieces added. taking money back while also strengthening the left wing.

Yeah, this trade wouldn't work even with all those pieces, no way to fit Mathews into the cap on the rangers team.
Also for the Leafs PR to spin this and again help the rangers with future cap problems the only way this gets done is to include Laffereine.
If you really look at the LEafs needs a better option would be either of these

Trouba + Georgiev + 1st
Kredier + Lafereinre + 1st

It gives them better depth not worse. Maybe you haven’t seen them play this year or in the playoffs.

If it starts with Fox, what do you think the trade looks like? 1 for 1 or what’s the package you think is fair?

Don't know why you the Leafs could have signed for eight years. Anyway Matthews wanted to test UFA almost as soon as possible.
But this post would have made a lot more sense if you had shown this as a Ranger lineup. I can't envision how the Rangers could fit Matthews into their cap.

Current roster is 72M, chytil, nemeth and Strome basically meet the Matthews contract. So we will have 10M to bridge fox and kakko, then Laf and Miller will vridge the following year and the next year we move kreider and Trouba. Also Geo and Lindgren can be moved in A year or 2 if need be.

Why wouldn't he? He loves the lifestyle here and gets paid handsomely. Don't pull a burke and say hes going to ARI cause we all know that will never happened unless hes like 38,

He took a 5 year deal for more money during his FA years cause they thought the cap would continue to go up.

That’s the point I’m making. People are talking about trading all the other who could stay while we know AM is leaving. If he walks for free it will be devastating. Chytil, nemeth and Strome basically = am contract while we sit at 72M currently

Teams hope to win, and UFA walk every year from teams. So the Leafs are trying to win with Matthews and when he leaves, the Leafs will 11.6m to spend elsewhere. So by this post, you have put it on the Rangers to give up futures, and then Matthews can walk on them too when he's a UFA.

And no you can't move Kreider and Trouba.
