Leave Eichel on LTIR until start of playoffs a la Kuch, making the cap work. Would mean trading Marner (or JT/Eichel but likely Marner) after playoffs (which is hopefully a cup)

Small fyi, Murphy already has an extension in place he's the Hawks would be eating 5 years of cap. He isn't the problem in CHI at all. You'd need to add a ton more going to CHI.

Value is pretty good for an Eichel deal if it wasn't Toronto, ik it's just a hypothetical but if a team in the division made a play for him they'd have to pay up so much more than say a Vegas. Especially Toronto or like Boston, because the fans would had Adams for it
