The picks you get for those players are going to be worse than that, but that's a pretty minor thing.

That Campbell contract would only be fair-value if he struggles this season. If he manages to put up comparable numbers to last year while playing 50 or so games, then he easily deserves 4.5+ on a 3 year deal.

I totally understand what you are saying, but I factored in that Campbell loves playing in Toronto, and I feel like he would take a discount to play for the leafs

Hes a 29 year old UFA, hes looking for his big paycheck and hes not going to make less than the backup. He'll go elsewhere.

But all in all thats a pretty weak team. If semyonov doesn;t get to play this year in toronto, does he bother to come back, hes not a youngster and will get more in KHL. Anderson hasnt been a Leaf for 2 years, but in 2022 hes your 13th forward? ZAR will get a better UFA offer than that (which isn;t much of an increase on his salary now). Simmonds and Spezza are both back? Menell isn;t good enough this year, but next year he will be?

Overall you must be projecting a strong post season showing in 21-22, a 2nd or 3rd round or cup, because otherwise theres no way you bring back the same tired lineup/players
