Hyman is terrific but can’t see anyway Edmonton entertains moving him. Chiasson is also really good might be able to get him out of van for cheap at deadline.

the obsession with a token net-front guy drives me crazy. having one guy whos really good at that is far worse than having your whole team working together to crash the net, look for tips, and tap in rebounds. that job shouldnt be done by just one player.

If you are patient, Pavelski could be available around the TDL. We are not a PO team right now and I doubt this will change since we are basically the same team as last year…playing the same way as last year.

When its a missing piece on a power play, and everything else is there, then its worth looking at adding.
Also, its not really a substitute for crashing the net, playing rebounds, etc. Every team should be doing that.

jvr isd the best one, and NJ has the cap space. Hes probabkly not dear in trade either

Theres also the possibility that a 3rd team retains a bit on him.

But he has no real injury history and is a pretty safe bet to get his 20-30 goals and give the young guys a reliable pt producing veteran to help shoulder the weight
