Caufield needs to play opposite of Anderson or Gallagher. Somebody on his line that draws defenders and creates holes for him to step into.
That's not going to happen while Petry is our only legitimate threat from the point either, as the opposition can just drop their blue line coverage.
Right now, consider his play as part of his development. He's used to having the puck and being able to create his own chances. He has to learn to let it go and set up to create opportunities without the puck on his stick.
Patience is necessary, but he could be put into a better position to succeed.
